Amy V. Cofield was raised in the Greenville/Anderson areas of South Carolina. She earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from the University of South Carolina. After graduation, Amy went to work as a teacher in Anderson, South Carolina for several years before deciding to enter law school in 1987. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1990. Upon her graduation from law school Amy began working in private
practice with her father in Anderson, South Carolina, concentrating in the areas of real estate, workers’ compensation, and probate matters, and continued that practice after his death in 1994.
Amy is currently in private practice at 605 East Main Street, Lexington, SC.
Amy is licensed to practice in state and federal court and is a member of both the Lexington
County and South Carolina Bar Associations. She serves on the Board of the South Carolina Workers & Compensation Educational Association, and is a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. Amy is married to Jimmy Terrapin and has two sons both attending the University of South Carolina.
